Default ABS Pump Replacement

I recently bought a 2004 3.2 V6 Chrysler Crossfire and have been having a few issues. One of them is the speedometer not working and spoiler not going up or down. I've brought it to a mechanic and he's had a look. He says it's an issue with the pump, I need to get a new one.

Before buying I just want to make sure that this would be the right one for me to get? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116930491742

EVERY TIME this has come up, the issue was no power to the ABS module. THis is caused by a failure of the RCM (Relay Control Module).

GO order a relay control module for a 2003 Mercedes SLK320. (Or order one for a "Crossfire" if you like wasting time, just don't show up here crying you cant find one.) ANYWAY, the module plugs in without tools, you need no dull-witted "mechanic" for this. The RCM is in the BIG electronics box next to the battery. THe lid comes off without using tools and the RCM will unplug without tools, but DO NOT pull on the wires, grasp the CONNECTORS to unplug them.

You will be on the road in no time, unless you let that "Mechanic" "fix" the car.

(If is sounds like I have no respect for "mechanics", that is not really the case. It's just that I am disgusted with them for not learning even basic electrical concepts, given they work in a very electronic vocation.)

RCM is in the yellow circle:

Yes that is correct RCM, but it appears to be used. You need to get a new one as a used RCM may have the same or additional problems. Read the discription the seller gives.

I find that hard to believe, search "2003 Mercedes SLK320 Relay Control MOdule", the 2003 SLK230 version also works.

THe RCM has a very high failure rate, in the three Roadsers I've owned since 2009, two have failed. THey fail so much, we have a guy in Arizona who, for $65usd, replaces all relays and reflows the board. He has fixed several hundred since 2008.

I agree with Zip, buying used is not what I'd do. That one's board looks good - but they don't show a good photo of the relay contacts, which are paramount to the car running.

@Discourse Hello, the Relay Control Module you are looking for is in the pictures below. Also Mercedes-Benz refers to it as K-40 Module.
You might be able to get one from amazon. Here's a link ignore the can't ship to warning, I'm in the U.S.A. but I switched to the U.K. Amazon.
LINK to RCM UK Amazon LINK to RCM UK Amazon

Thanks so much for your help! I really appreciate that. I've bought a new ABS pump on the mechanic's recommendation - it's not too much money so not the end of the world if it wasn't totally necessary.

Unfortunately Amazon won't ship the RCM to me here in Northern Ireland Is this the same thing? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165708594342

Thank you

You could try reaching out to tighed1@hotmail.com and see if he will rebuild it for you? Even with postage, it might not be any more expensive than new.

This may be your best bet. Transit time will stink, but I think the cost would be quite a bit lower, based on the prices you show in your posts.

OUCH, those prices are outrageous! Rebuild or find something less expensive (don't buy used ones, they may be unserviceable)!
