My Spoiler is staying up
I am wondering if someone can give me some advice please, I live in the UK and have a 2005 Roadster with 52K miles on the clock which I am currently experiencing problems with, my spoiler does not retract, about a week ago I was giving the car a run, everything was performing as expected, no warning lights on or buzzers sounding, I pushed the car up over the 60 mph and the spoiler was activated, but looking in my rear view mirror I could see the spoiler had not been fully deployed, and when I stopped the spoiler did not retracted, again there were no warning lights on, or buzzers sounding, so I pressed the spoiler switch and the little red light in the middle of the switch begun flashing and the spoiler remained up.
I will add that the car is kept on our drive all year round with three tarpaulins over it, I have since pulled everything out of the boot and that is bone dry, so I am pretty sure it is not water ingress that has caused the problem, I have also checked the fuse boxes and all fuses are OK, but while playing around with various switches I thought I would lower the roof, I released the catch and the side windows went down, but then it stopped its cycle, after playing around with the switches nothing happened, so I disconnected the battery for a few minutes and then re-connected it, but nothing happened, no change, so I then locked the roof, then pressed the window lift switches and the windows went up, I have since driven the car, it goes fine, but the fault is still there, can you help me I would appreciate you feed back?

Sometimes when the battery starts to go bad weird things start to happen with the electronics. There should be a date code on your battery. If it's more than 3 years old you might want to change it or at least have it tested.
Once again thanks for your comments

In nearly 19 years on this forum and 19 years of owning 2 Crossfires I have never kept a battery older than 6 years installed in my Crossfire.
These cars are very reliant on proper voltage and a battery more then 6 years old isn't worth having under the hood.
I use battery tenders and maintain the charge as needed but that is still not a reason to expect a battery to last longer than 6 years.
Its the simplest thing to buy and install yourself to eliminate it as a problem for any other troubles you are experiencing
A spoiler not functioning properly has been known to be a result of a failing battery and I have seen this here many times over my many years here

Like other members who chimed in here, I also suggest you replace the battery. Too many ppl have the battery tested good but the moment they replace the old (supposidly good) battery their problem is SOLVED. Good luck!
