Default 7,000 Mile Oil Change?

The owner's manual says to change oil every 7,000 miles on my 2007 XFire.

That sure seems a long time. I know it has synthetic oil and a good filter,,,,but?

I follow the recommendation of the magic dash indicator, and I'm keeping receipts. So far it's been happening at 7000 +/- and as long as I do that I feel Chrysler will honor the 7/70.

That is assuming there is a Chrysler Corporation.
