Default Intake Manifold torque & sequence

Can anyone tell me the torque value and sequence of tightening the intake manifold fasteners? I did a search but didn't find anything unfortunately.

Cheers!

Look in manual in SRT6 section, no sequence given, torque is 15 ft/lbs. Usual sequence is to start in center, slowly approaching correct torque on all bolts in stages while working outward, if my memory serves me right. At 15 ft/lbs I would not think it matters too much.

Thanks a bunch! I just needed the value actually as most all sequences start in the middle and work outward and varying top to bottom. I just don't have a manual yet. I did a search and found a link to a thread that said it had a manual to download but nothing was there. Guess I'll have to part with some more greenbacks and get a manual on CD or even an old fashioned paper one.

Get to install the Needswings dual CAI, teflon Y pipe and oil catch can this weekend.

Cheers!

Don't do what I did, and tighten the bottom of the Y piece before installing the Intake Manifolds.

I couldn't get the IMs to match up, and it's because the Y piece was ever so slightly crooked. I tightened the top of the Y piece to the IMs first, then the bottom, and worked like a charm.

The Code 3 Performance phenolic spacers were tedious, but went on fine with the cork gaskets Needswings supplied.

Hey thanks, really nice tip. So what does everyone reccomend to clean the burnt oil crap out of the manifold? I'm in CA so I have to be very enviro aware. Should I just take it to a local machine shop and have it tanked or?????

Cheers!

Well I did the dual CAI, catch can and y pipe mods this last weekend. Cleaned everything with the Awesome cleaner from the 99 cent store. It worked great and the price was right. The only problem I had was when torqueing the bolts to the 15 lbs. Started in the middle and worked fore and aft. Snapped the pass side forward bolt and it was after closing on Friday night.

The next morning I called the Chrysler stealer and they had nothing and couldn't find anything other than a special order. Typical!

Next I started in on the MB guys. They were way more friendly to talk to. Anyway they found a dealer with 3 bolts, all the shorter 65mm length. I went out and bought all 3. One for immediate use and 2 for back up all at $11 + change each. Next I had to go to a differnt dealer to get the stock gaskets. I tried using the cork ones with dressing but they kept moving around too much even when I let the dressing get tacky first. Anyway the stock ones worked much easier and better.

The only other issue was the darn power steering coolant lines. Damn hard to disconnect the rubber hoses and when I did fluid went everywhere. I didn't loose too much since I already had the replacement line in there and ready to go. The real problem was getting the stock tube out. I ended up having to bend it to get it out and hope I won't need it again or else I'll have to get a new one.

Sure am having fun with these mods though. Next isare the pulleys.

Cheers!
