auto transmission slow going into first

Default auto transmission slow going into first
i have an 04 crossfire that i bought as a wreck.( love tap over the front rebar). everything is fine except it takes about 3 or 4 seconds for first gear to engage when coming out of park weather its hot or cold, warmed up or not. once it engages its fine.

I'd do a filter change just cause.
How many miles?

it has under 30k, the tranny service was the first thing we tried that did nothing.
