Default NAG1/722.6 Auto transmission You Tube videos

BoilerUp started this with his video and I added the others he led me to.
See this explanation of the NAG1/722.6 transmission.

Filter and transmission oil change.

Removing the Valve Body Plate.

Replacing the Electric Conductor Plate.

Re-installing the Valve Body Plate and refilling.

Hope you don't mind me asking, but is this NAG1 the same unit installed in the rest of the SRT line (05-2011)? Aka, W5A580?

It is basically the same in all Crossfires, even the Chrysler 300, and probably many others. There are some changes though for power etc. but the basics are the same.
New Auto Gearbox 1, is the Chrysler designation, it is a Mercedes designed box, 722.6 is the Mercedes number.
See this explanation. and the answer to your question.

722.6 ValveBody Sonnax Kit Install

Video showing partial installation of a Sonnax Overlap Control Valve kit. Sonnax part number 68942-05K and cost around $68.00 shipped. This kit helps with Harsh/Bumpy/Flared shifts, and slipping gears. My car had very minimal flaring between 2nd and 3rd, so I figured it may be a good idea to preemptively install this kit to prolong the gear box life. Sonnax only makes two kits for the 722.6(NAG1) that doesn't require special fixturing and bore reaming. Shift overlap control valve sleeve kit is one of them, and TCC Damper valve and sleeve kit was the other one. Since I have no issue with torque converter lockup, that one wasn't needed.

In the video where he changes the oil he says he got 3,5 liters out of it, isnt it supposed to be 8-8,5 liters?

Also, is it required to drain the oil before changing the connector?

Some fluid is trapped inside the transmission.

You do not have to drain the fluid to change the connector. It is smart to raise the side of the car with connector on to move as much fluid as possible away from the connector.
Use jack stands.
