Default 2004 v6 security lockout

I'm not sure what happened here are the symptoms. Went to class. Came out to this:

1.turn signals illuminated and solid permanently

2. Key fob no longer works

3. Door unlocks manually with the perfect combination of twist and pull

4. Alarm went off as soon as I opened the door

5. Engine shut off as soon as started, now won't even turn over

What is going on!!

Skreem security module has kicked in.. moisture in the trunk? Disconnect battery for 10-15 minutes for a computer reset and give it a shot.. has worked on quite a few cars lately..

Had this happen to me last week.
On your fob do you see the dim red light showing it is working?
If so unhook the car battery wait at least 10 min hook it up then try your fob 1st.
I think the remote I carry around went bad, why mine did this, on my spare.

WARNING the 30 tries with no start and your car will think it is getting stolen and destroy the ecu, but u get 3 tries every time you unhook the battery 10 times = 30.

After a few tries with disconnecting the battery.. if it continues to do the same thing.. stop and call a tow truck. 10 times of disconnecting and not starting the "mission impossible" mode kicks in and self destructs the ECU

Why I was suggesting to check the red light on the remote 1st.
After car starts the 30 start self destruct resets.
Then after battery is reconnected to try the remote before you try and start it.
After 3 tries with no start, even if the car is fixed it will not start without disconnecting the battery with the mb 3 start 10 tries.
Let us know how it goes.
And welcome to forum, what you have?
Location?
Don't be scared to post pics and show off your car.

I tried to jump it earlier thinking the battery might be dead and the jumper cables heated up and melted.... I've jumped many cars and this had never happened.... am I just stupid?

Cables crossed.
If you tried to start it 3 times and failed u have to unhook the battery for 10-15 min.
3 failed attempts and the ecu will not let you start it no matter what.

Just wanted to THANK YOU for this post. Once I found it made my day for me. Had this happen to me at the home depot, and thought it was so weird that unhooking battery might make it reset something. I would have only disconnected for a couple minutes at most though and then tried, don't know that I would have tried 10 times, but probably a few anyway and then forked over about a $100 or so to get it towed home to the garage. This is a most useful forum and I appreciate you guys!
