odd clock behavior
Probably a bad clock set switch. Try turning it back and forth and see if you can make it stop.

Here is something else odd after my clock ran backwards a few it settle dwn with the correct time about 20 mins later.That afterward my car wouldnt start and threw a code,it said crank position sensor started the car after I clear the code I purchase a new sensor later that day.Now the day before my coworker got a 05 clk 320 ,he complained about his car stalling not starting at times and his clock ran backwards,we pulled his code crank sensor ,replace the sensor and all is well.I am not saying the clock running backwards has anything to do with the crank sensor but I have seen this on two similar vechicles so far strange one indeed.
