Default Fixed Ignition help!

Hi Guys

1st post and in need of help.

Had the sticky ignition problem and removed the clip inside the ignition following a guide and it worked like a charm.

Unfortunately? I did not disconnect the battery before removing and unpluging the ignition.
Anyway I reassembled everything and the key turns smooth now.

I can turn the key all the way and the dash/radio ect light up. the car wont turn over.

the sensor is in place and is not pinched or disconnected from the SKREEM.

The alarm is NOT working at all. No flashing of the lights or anything.
Key fob not working either.

disconnected the battery for around 30 min. did not work.
Ran negative cable to pos on battery. nada
Disconnected the SKREEM and battery. no go.
Poped out fuse num 9. nothing.

I'm guessing it's in anti theft mode.

Any help would be great before I burn the car down.

This could wreck everything electronic if that is what you did.

Disconnected the SKREEM and battery. no go.
Huh?

It sounds to me that the ignition switch isn't resetting or allowing to go to the off position. As in you have to turn the switch fully to off before it will allow it to turn to start position and crank over.

I've taken the key out and tried since. Maybe I didn't put the tumbler back in right... I check that.

The SKREEM Module.
That is not what you said though.
Did you reconnect the switch plug to the back of the ignition housing properly?
Disconnected SKREEM?

Sorry about that, worded it wrong.

I disconnected the SKREEM then reconnected twice. Once by itself then once with the battery disconnected at the same time and that didn't work.

I'll check the ignition housing again to make sure I put it in right, but the way the pig tail is set up it can only go back in one way.

How did you disconnect the SKREEM, that is not in the instructions.
I just meant if the plug had been reconnected fully or not at all.
I would try and get a code reader to check that nothing happened coincidentally as your fix. I doubt it but ......

I only unpluged it after I did the ignition to try and problem solve as on other forum pages people had a similar problem. worked for some but not all. I'm in the not all category.

It's currently plugged in.

I cannot recall people having SKREEM problems after doing this mod. I have been here a while, are you sure you are reading posts that are relevant?
The plug in the back has to align with the tab that turns the switch. If you were you put the plug on with the key turned it would not line up and not turn the switch. That's what I recall.
