Default Top Hyd. fluid level check

When checking the level of the top fluid reservoir shoud the top be up or down or is there no difference? Should you wait until the pressure bleeds off or is it more accurate when under pressure? Does it make a difference?

The amount of oil in the cylinders is always the same except for the volume of the length of rod of those cylinders that have the rod retracted into the cylinder. Although on systems where some rods are retracted as some are extended it may be a saw off.
To be honest on the Crossfire system I have no idea.😉
If you can check the level with the top up and then down and see if there is a difference, if needed top it up from the highest level and look for a leak.

Back to your original issue of the top stopping midway...you answered pizzaguy by saying your battery is OK. The only other thing I can think of is still related to the hydraulic cylinders. I believe you said they weren't leaking but if your hydraulic fluid level is low...then at least one of them is leaking. If all of the safety switches related to operating the top allows you to begin the process, then it seems like they should not cause a stoppage part-way up or down.

I hadn't checked it yet. I checked it while holding the rear bow and tonneau cover up, Manually. The level was in the middle between the Max and Min. marks. I don't think it will hold anymore because that is where the filler plug bottom is located. What is weird is after I put the top down manually and then put it up mechanically it starts to beep when it is about 2/3 of the way up and then when it stops about 5 inches from the windshield it continues to beep. If I push the button a few more times after it has stopped the pump is activated again each time for a second until after about the 3rd time it stops and stays off when I latch the top. If I try to latch the top after it first stops the beeper keeps sounding and the light on the switch continues to blink. I wonder if one of the sensors on the cylinders may be bad or loose?
