Exclamation alarm

How do you deactivate the alarm? My alarm keeps going off while I am driving. I have to pull over and shut the engine off, pull out the key and push the alarm button several times before it will shut off. I live 5 miles from my work and it went off 4 times before I got home. Does someone have a picture of where the siren/alarm is under the hood so I can unplug or pull a wire or something until I can figure out what the issue is?

Most likely the batteries of the alarm siren are leaking. The siren is under the cowl and you can simply disconnect and replace it or forget about it.

It is under the cowl in front of the windshield. Removing the wipers is best. Use the search feature at the top of the page for instructions.

The above link has some good info on the location and tools required. It also has the part numbers for the OEM siren along with the Mercedes siren. It has the batteries part number as well and options for purchase if you plan on repairing yours.
