Default Want an easy pop out of the coolant sensor?

I find the plastic so brittle around the sensors. I have removed the electric connector on the coolant sensor and am ready to remove the $19 LOL sensor when it arrives. The sensor is in a dark area. Is there a little trick to not damage the white plastic clip? Thanking you in advance.

Sorry, no plastic clip, but a bear of a c clip/ring.

What is this engine part above the coolant temperature sensor that makes replacing the sensor so difficult? See Pictures.
