If I floor it in first and let it autoshift to second I sometimes get a rough shift.
Otherwise, it shifts smoothly.

I have the same problem as Corey in my 04 XF 34K miles - any ideas before I spend hundreds at the dealer??

Have an '07 6sp roadster with just under 5K miles.

Changed out the tranny fluid today with Amsoil 0W-20 to try to resolve the balky shifting. Seemed a little better on 1st test drive - Will report back after a week or so of normal driving, cold shifts, etc.............

Harbor ... What's the story bud? How is Amsoil doing for you in the tranny? I'm up for trying anything if I can make the Roadster shift a bit easier. Hate that feeling that one gets in that nasty 1 to 2 first throw. I cant tell how many shifts I've missed because I wanted to finesse the shift and the tranny said "Fat chance".

Weather's getting cold, so it's close to hibernation time for Two Harleys

The TSB says for 04-05... but I am reading posts here from 06 owners as well. Did any of you have any luck getting the dealer to fix this on an 06? My '06 roadster has always had issues with R-1-2, and I thought it was just the car.

Hello greetings from Iraq. I have an 04 and also have the same problem. I did notice that if you shift the car into 6th and 5th first, it seems to line every thing up in the trannie so as to make the first two shifts and revers easier. If I remember correctly. But currently in Iraq so if some one could give it a shot and tell me how it went. I should be right on the money though. Being a SGT in the Army you some times remember little details like that for no real reason.

Hopping I was of some help
Dom
