Oil Change...
A general question...I know a few of the crossfire owners do some of their own servicing..Do you follow the usual method and drain via the sump drain plug or use the dip stick tube and insert a suction pump tube!
My warranty ends next June and from then I plan to do my own servicing

I'm still 4300 miles shy till my first oil change.
Have read where it's a breeze to suction the oil out of the top but I'll be doing my oil change the old fashion way from the bottom.

not sure about the specifics of the Crossfire but other cars I have owned had a magnetic drain plug to collect the fine metal particles and allow removal at oil change time. Therefore using a top pump these metal particles stay in the engine, which is a bad idea.
My experience is on older technology when I was young and did my own servicing and didn't have a job and a family and no time ! I'm even working today ( Sunday ) 12:00 - 21:00. Can't wait to retire !

tighed 1...Thanks for the link..I may well bottom drain and then as in olden times use a flushing oil to finish the job off.
Paul..I also did my own servicing as a youger man..mind you so far back there were no computers etc to remind you that a service was due...3000 miles oil and filter..check gearbox and axle oil...end of service.
As a very young man..as well as doing the oil change..no oil filter on my 1934 Ford Y I adjested the cable brakes!

I change oil from the bottom. It gives me a chance to inspect the undercarriage, brakes and reapply "Waxoyl" to prevent corrosion. You have to remove a stone shield to gain access to drain plug...I change annually with about 5k usage..
I also change my own oil and filter and to us older folks thats the old school way, always drain from the pan, there are 4 bolts to remove the shield and 5 bolts if its an SRT6. I change my oil around 5k also just don't trust oil for 7k miles worth of driving, the hardest part is pouring in the 8.5 quarts of oil
I noticed that when I changed my oil; there is no magnetic drain plug fitted as standard. These are cheap to buy thouigh and are seen for sale on ebay. Next oil change I will fit one. Its normal for a bit of metalic debris to accumulate so it wise to have one. I used to flush my engines each time using deisel (yes deisel, right up to the dipstick level) its cheap and works well, some folks even run the engine for 20 seconds or so. But - the danger of flushing is that it spreads the thick gunge in the bottom of the pan with its melalic debris all over the big-ends etc - Ouch - could be a bad move? I reckon no need to flush with regular changes at 10K miles, especially when done from the bottom.
