The trim section between the bottom of windscreen and rear of bonnet/hood with washer jets and drain outlets.

I would like to sheen/polish it..all the trim/plastic products I've used, dry out and I'm left with the same dull finish. I had thought of having it sprayed to match the body colour as a last result.

Any suggestions of a cheaper option.

Sorry cant help but i have the same problem, the half the hood sits on is fine the out side half is dull tred everything but soon goes dull again

so hope someone can offer a solution and i will pinch it from you lol

 

I use a Decosol black restorer product, i've had the bottle for years and just looked for it on the net but cant find it shown anywhere.

There are a few aerosols shown but this is a bottle of black liquid which is applied with a cloth and then polished off, I havent needed it on the Crossfire yet but I used to do the black apron around the rear window of my old GTO and it really transformed it, a coat would last a few months too hence why i've still got the bottle I bought about 6 years ago!!

Searching on google it looks like Holts still do a bottle of stuff called 'Black Chrome' which I assume is similar.

Back to black is very very good, but buy the cream not the aerosol.

 

Yes all the above will work but you cant expect it to last and will need to keep re applying now and again for best results. I use ICE Synthetic Wax on all these black plastic and rubber bits including around the door rubber weather seals.

 

Ken. Its not that expensive to paint it yourself. I did mine at home. You will need one grey scot pad. One can of plastic primer and one can of satin black. Remove the trim. Light rub down with the grey scot pad in soapy water. One coat of plastic primer and a couple of coats of the satin black to a finish. Best to paint it in a dust free place.
Easy squeeze.
