We've learned that the UK Roadsters have a security shield that prevents you from getting into a lock trunk like we can in the USA. The issue is discussed in the thread below.

To avoid this mess, do the electric trunk lock disable mod in this post. DO NOT do the emergency cam release modification, but do remove the plastic "foot" on the electric lock unit.
This way, you can avoid drilling the trunk if the Top controller does not unlock the trunk or the lock sticks or fails. EASY mod to do and it can save you later.
