Carbon fiber wheels...
So, I found this manufacturer of ultra-lightweight carbon fiber and magnesium wheels.

If I decide to keep my Crossfire or get anther one, I might just look into this. Right now roughly $2,000 per wheel is not in my budget at all, but I would like to inform everyone who would want to reduce unsprung weight of our cars to look into them. People mention the Crossfire's drivetrain sucks an unusual amount of power going to the ground, so maybe some lightweight wheels will help. The manufacturer told me they can get group-buy rates too if many are interested, don't know how many yet though.

I've seen them on bikes before as well. They're very nice looking, but definitely for show or race use only. CF is way to fragile for everyday street use.
I used to mount real mag wheels and they are a PIA. They have to be done by hand and hit the least little hole in the road and they are done, they bend real easy. My buddy had a set of real American's on his '66 Vette for about a month and they just got to messed up with street driving. The carbon fiber is probably a better choice at least on the street. My guess is they have to be more durable but probably still a hand mount.

Does anyone make a titanium wheel? I can only imagine 4 wheels would cost more than the car. Better off with a forged aluminum wheel if unsprung and rotational weight is what your looking to get rig of. I've seen some forged rims weigh as little as 8-10 lbs compared to 19-22 lbs for OEM cast wheels.
