Default Spacer for front wheels

I am getting 18x8.5 with 35mm offset. If any one have tried with similar spec, can you let me know what are the size of the spacers that you are using? 10mm, 12mm or 15mm? I tried 8mm and it looks like it will rub.

I have 18 x 8.5 front with a 35 mm offset and no spacer. They are perfect.
My rear wheels are 19 x 9.5 with a 35 mm offset and they required a 20 mm wheel spacer to bring them out to the edge of the wheel well. Photos in my gallery.
Good luck!

Thanks for your reply, Fritzauf. Although, doesn't it rub against the A frame bolt on the top? Also, is the spacer for your rear necessary, or is it used only to make the rear look good?

If I may? You won't want a spacer in the front. IMO. It would be outside of the well, and yes it will rub without a spacer. 18x8 is what fits. Now if you do go with a spacer in front, say 5mm, then you will need a 25mm in the rear. I have 18x8 on front, no spacer, and 19x9.5 on back with 20mm spacer. I believe most have this setup with aftermarket wheels. If they don't you can tell! Big-time! My $.0234. Good luck!

I have a slight (very minor) rub mark on the inside forward area of the front wheel wells from sharp turning. /this condition existed with the stock wheels and tires after I lowered the car with the Eibach Pro Kit. There is no rubbing on the A Frame at all. I do have a close clearance on the front calipers though.

I agree wholeheartedly ... Spacers on rear are fine... It just goes against everything I NEVER learned to put spacers on the front unless the are 10mm or thinner and you never push the car hard thru turns...

Reason being is that there are alot of forces pushing against those front wheels and the entire weight of the engine directed over the fronts... I might be overly cautious, but "knock-on-wood" I haven't had a mis-hap yet...

Just get a wheel with a deeper offset that is hub-centric and forget the spacers on the front...

I have 18x8.5 in the front with a 35mm offset and they do not rub either (stock tire size). If you go to a wider front tire you will most likely start rubbing the upper ball joint bolt and nut.

If you have lowered the car then the inside fender rubbing problem will show up much worse as well.

I also have 19x9.5 in the rear with a 35mm offset. I have yet to put a spacer on the rears as I track the car and don't want to compromise the strength of the wheel-hub connection.

I have been autocrossing with 5mm front (18x7.5, 35mm offset wheel) and 15mm rear (19x9, 40mm offset wheel) spacers without issue.
