Default Another Air Ride Post

ok, i have seen the picture of the SRT on air. It actually belongs to Jason from www.suicidedoors.com I've met him and seen the car in person. He has not had any type of failure from the system in 3 years. The handling is not bad at all. It has a slight change in feel noticed mostly when taking sharp corners or multiple "S" curves. It's not really a sway but it has a bit of bounce in the ride. Jason actually used a kit that came with everything for a car with springs. I'm very very very intrested in doing the air ride on my xfire. I'm going to do it... point blank! Does anyone have any pictures of the installation procedure for the cup brakets I'll have to build. Or maybe even a picture of what the cup brackets should look like. I'm going to use 4 smc valves, 4 2500lb bags, 4.5gal pancake tank, 3/8" lines, 380 viair... and yes... im gonna cut it up a little. It'll lay out when I'm done. Let me know if anyone has any air ride parts for me to buy for a reasonable price. I will post installation pics of the process later. thanks for any info or help that you can provide.

Funny you guys mention them. Suicide doors sells to all of the guys in our truck club (AcrophobiA, not some crap club). They are bar none the best aftermarket product supplier period. Funny so many of us custom truck guys bought the XF, I guess that means we have good taste, haha. I say bag it if you want...I've thought about it as well. Ive had 3 bagged trucks and had maybe one issue over 6 years, not too bad!

Why would you want to bag a sports car? With the extra weight, lose of performance and not to mention that a bagged vehicle going faster then 100mph is just scary unstable

it will handle better at 100mph plus airride is a way better option then the stock suspension in theses cars...granted it has a sports car appeal but if its a base model coupe ...either way its his car let him go with it.. if u do get a airride setup let me know i would like one as well

Sweet, should be fairly easy on this vehicle as shock relocation isn't an issue. I can say though having had 3 vehicles on air, it def will NOT handle as well as a stock crossfire, period. I've seen xtensives bagged zo6, and while it makes no sense it is very very cool. The only ones who hate on it are the stock vette guys. Do what you want man, if your into looks than performance I'd say its the best single move you can make

I have been thinking about doing air ride on mine for over a yaer but recently decided to sell the Crossfire. If I dont sell it by spring I plan to go ahead with the air ride.
Maybe we could get a group purchase on at least the brackets if not a complete kit from suicide doors.com

It sounds like a perfect candidate for "shock waves" since we have coil springs on all four corners.
