Eibach springs = deadly rubbing?!
I lowered my car a while back, and today I parked with my wheels turned all the way to the left... The cords are coming through on the inside of the tire! The tire must be hitting the bolt for the spindle, as there are just chunks missing and I can't fit my finger between the bolt and the tire. Did anyone else have this problem? I dont know if I should swap out the springs at this point or try pads, but I'm a little nervous to drive it.
I've got Eibachs on mine but haven't noticed any rubbing - then again, I haven't specifically looked at the inside side walls, but I will be doing so this weekend! How many miles since you installed the springs? My car is just a weekend toy so I don't put a lot of miles on it.

What tires and wheels are you running? WIth the stock tires and stock wheels you shouldn't be hitting that bolt/nut. When I switched to 235 40 18 and 18 8.5 wheels, I had to trim off the extra part of the bolt and gave the nut a little shave. I am not touching now but anyone who changes wheels and or tire sizes should check this.
I have the Eibach and Koni's with factory wheels and 235/40 fronts...... I get a little rub on the inside of the well when I turn hard, but that is all.... no issue with the bolt/nut.... I have 10mm spacers on too though so the wheels clear the C32 calipers....

In this picture it looks like it may be a bad wear pattern from the camber or toe (botched alignment?), which I hope is the case. I just want to sort this out before I get new tires (hopefully tommorow) so it doesn't happen again. Thanks for the responses!
It looks like severe tire wear. The whole side of the tire is much more worn than the other side. Check the wheel bearing and toe. I don't think the camber change would do that. I have perfect tire wear on my lowered car but I used the collision repair bolts on the front to get the alignment perfect. Most guys who have lowered their cars don't bother with this and don't have that kind of wear.
Looks like the front tires i just took off my car. My car is not lowered and running stock wheels. After new tires I took it in for alignment. they said it was toed in a little to much. so we will see what happens with the new set.
I just checked my tires all around and they look fine. downwardspiral, your issue there is not just from rubbing on a bolt - those tires are experiencing very uneven wear due to some sort of an alignment issue. Get some new tires mounted and then get to a good alignment shop and maybe even bring them a print out of that picture.
I'm running factory wheels and the original Conti tires, with Eibachs all around - no issues at all.

surprised that tire hasn't failed by now. You are lucky. I would have to agree with the others on the tire wear being alignment. Rubbing a bolt or nut would have dug in more than what that is showing. Good luck either way.
Thanks guys, the car is at the tire place getting 2 new fronts.. I'll make up the rear camber arms and put the crash bolts in this week, try to find some wheel bearings and bring it to a performance alignment shop. At least I'll feel comfortable knowing my tire isn't about to burst at any second.

the issue most shops have with the front eccentric bolts is that you cant just pop them out. you have to compress the springs each and every time you move the bolt. without the proper compressor for the springs this is a time consuming and dangerous job. its best to install the bolts yourself and have a metric shop with a precision rack do the work.
32, that makes sense.. I spoke too soon (what else is new lol). I can't complain about the shop I brought it to, the guy did the right thing and said he didn't bother with the alignment because he'd be wasting my money. The new tires feel totally different, and seem to be skittish on certain roads; I can't wait to get it aligned
!
Skittish is usually toed out. I installed the crash bolts myself without a spring compressor by doing just one at a time. It would have been easier with the spring compressor. I replaced all four and my alignment is perfect and tire wear is perfect.
