These may be perfectly safe but I never liked them the first time I saw them years ago. Just my opinion and you won't ever find them on my car. Seems like a lot stress on such a small hub. I prefer the spacers that require the lug bolt to go all the way thru them into the hub. Again as I said, just my preference.

GG, I know they make a threaded length of steel you can screw into our hub with an adhesive and then use lug nuts to put the wheels on, I have seen other enthusuast communities swap from the studs to lugs, just never really researched it for the XF - but have been interested with the amount of wheel changes I do every year.
This is just an example for Audi and Porsche, but you get the point...

Back to the topic at hand.... I would do as others stated (if I were to ever do this), and be very weary for the first grand on the clock, listening to every little noise.
MadMed has the type of studs that are screwed into his stock hubs on his Crossfire coupe.... no additional spacers.... but he will need new hubs if he ever wanted to go back......

Will the tires rub the wheel well if you flex the suspension? I like the idea of the lug nuts, I guess you tighten the lug bolts through the spacers onto the hub, then torque to 81 ft/lbs, how much are the lugnuts torqued to? Will the wheel actually ride on that center ring (the OEM doesn't ride on a ring they just move all over until you bolt em up). So, thats about 8 questions in this query. So far so good, especially if they work, don't hit the fenders (tire) and don't stick out too far.

Here's a guy you might want to talk to about this. He is claiming to be able to build to your specs:

I used bolts that were made for a BMW to convert over to lug nuts. They have an allen head at the end and all you do is throw a little lock tight on them and turn them in. Now they are a pain in the *** and like to come out when there is oxidation on the lug nuts. I'm happy with it though and allowed me to run my spacers and open ended lug nuts. Been this way for a year now.
