Talking Lowering spring questions

I'm going to lower my Crossfire but am unsure how low to go. Anyone have a pic of the side of their car showing the drop? What should I go with? Also I'm looking to use spacers to push my wheels out a little. Any info?

Some have cut 1 full coil off and others have cut 3/4 to 1/2 coil off. You may have to use different combinations of differnt thickness (how many dots) spring pads to fine tune the final height.

It really depends on what wheel size, back spacing/offset, and tire size for rubbing. BrianBrave has a great write up that I found useful with details from other members as well; https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...tml#post162184

Velocioblast has done a great job listing different tire combinations he has used his wheel specs and lowered height. https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-18-front.html

There are also many others that have lowered that list what wheel and tire combos they have.

If you get spacers make sure they are hub centric. MB is a different bore size than Audi or VW. After the spacers make sure you get the right wheel bolts or modify them so they don't thread into your hub further than 18mm.

I used the wheel fitment guide in the sticky to fine tune spacers, wheel, and tire sizes.

I haven't done anything yet, so this is just info that I have found helpful trying to figure everything out doing research. sorry for all the links. Good luck.
