Default Controler for Anti-Lock Brakes

Got the error code BAS/ESP on the dashboard. Chrysler dealer said the "Controler for the Anti-Lock Brackes" had failed, and needed to be replaced. Found another one, had it put in, and still get the error code. Anybody had a similar issue with this?
Thanks, KipKaplan

Add the ABS light and spoiler in the air and I'm with you.. changed out my wheel speed sensors .. to no avail .. so now I just slide in sideways - tires smoking from the skid..with the spoiler deployed and call it a day.. Not willing to throw bucks at it till it's fixed.. bonus feature.. spin them puppies at will without having to remember "turn off traction control .. "

Is it just the BAS/ESP light or are you also getting ABS light as well? If only one light, there are pretty much only three things that can have something wrong... ABS controller (you swapped it out so pretty good chance that's not it) Steering angle sensor or Yaw/roll rate sensor. Hope this helps but yes, I experienced this regularly with my old car... though mine was self induced.

I have the same problem. $800 for a CAB module and it didn't fix it.
Did the steering wheel dance and a new battery too, didn't help.
Is there any way to check the sensors without just randomly changing them?
