Question Tire valve broken!?

I just recently got my 05 Crossfire and the tire pressure light was on so i decided to go to my local gas station and fill them up with air. To my surprise, the tire valve on the front driver side seems to be broken and wont let me put air into it! it has some air in there but i want to fill it up to 32psi. it wont let me read the current psi and im afraid of driving like this. When i try to stick the air hose thing on there it only releases the current air inside the wheel already. What can i do!??

attached is a picture of the valve!

You need to go to a tire repair shop and have the valve stem replaced. Probably got curbed or something. You might be able to use a pair of needle nose players and round out the opening but I think I would get it replaced.
After enlarging the photo. Go directly to the repair shop. Don't be driving it.

There is a part missing and the whole thing needs to be replaced. That is the Schrader valve showing and that is hidden by the broken part that is missing. Take the tire to a tire shop and get the top half of the tire pressure valve, it snaps onto the sending unit inside the tire. Keep the sending unit inside the tire or you will need to get the TPMS set which is more hassle.

If you got the car from a dealer get them to fix it.

No, Schrader valve stems are screwed up tight to a seat which has a seal on it. If it is not screwed in all the way it will leak air.
You can
see that the part missing is the portion that the dust cap screws onto.

It appears that the cap was made of incompatible material (cheap steel) and caused corrosion on the aluminum stem that allowed the damage. I would get it replaced ASAP. And check the rest of the stems for damage as well. The safest cap to use is plastic.

If you plan on actually fixing it anytime soon.. a nice round patch of electrical tape will take it out of sight - out of mind. I would think most any retail tire dealer would be able to hook you up with a fix at a reasonable price. $20-$30 dollar range?

You just need the rebuild kit.
Wrong.

No I think he needs the stem itself, according to the pic, which is usually part of the TPMS assembly.

Oh wait.. just realized ours aren't the little "clip to stem" type you see on Ebay are they? Never mind on the easy tire shop fix. I hope you got the sensor back in hand since reportedly the frequency ID (needed for programming a new one) is stamped on them.

You are correct of course, stupid me.
Is it possible to take the stem from a sensor with a dead battery and snap it on to this sensor?
It would save money for sure and all the sensors would stay the same age and condition.

If we can hit a 95% rate off memory recall at our age 180.. we're doing great.. LOL.

I'm thinking ours are a one piece design aren't they?
