Hi all,

I came across these 18" 5 spoke AMG wheels fitted beautifully on a 2006 E320 CDI at a dealership during my cruise this morning. I've been searching on and off for these exact wheels for some time for my Crossfire but I can't seem to locate a genuine set. What Benzies came with these? Are there matching 19" wheels as well so that I don't have to sacrifice the stock wheel size? Thanks!

These look like them. Price is right for genuine AMG rims. Around $500 EA. and that's for reconditioned originals.
You're better off with replicas unless you're prepared to pay around $2800 for a set of 4 original AMGs.

Thank you, Syfi! Those look great as well, and the price seems right. I saw them on Needswings' page a year or so ago and was interested but wasn't certain how they were sourced or if they would sell them separately from the drag tires.

I really wanted to avoid buying replica wheels, but the checkbook is about as scrawny as I am.

My experience is that unless the aftermarket wheel is very well built they are not as good as the factory wheels. Also in recent years there have been a flood of oriental wheels that, like 2 ply tires, are not even safe in the driveway. I would trust someone like Needswings but few others.

I have a set of Enkeis I like for the blue car but all of my other cars are on factory wheels, except for the XF, 16x7 or 15x8.

 

I'm definitely not trying to race this thing, but I understand quality is still important. I'd still like to consider some other higher quality brands and styles but nothing so far has appealed to me on the sapphire silver cars.

 

Many like the Mandrus rims that are made exclusively for MB. I personally like the Mannheims.

JUst so you are aware, Mike's pictured below are the same ones posted and are a simple 5 spoke. Mine, posted below on the graphite coupe are actually 10 spoke, because it is open between the pairs and machined/painted. I am also lowered on an 18/20 stagger, not sure about Mike's but I believe OEM sizes...

Best of luck with the hood, I have had a friend trying to get one for 3 years with zero luck. Unless you convince 10+ other people to spend $1,000+ on a hood and shipping, it won't happen...

 

As far as the carbon fiber hoods go, I signed up for this group buy that I guess is still in the design phase. 500-650$ for a carbon fiber hood sounds like a bargain compared to some I've seen on Seibon's website. Details here: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...0-650-usd.html

But I'm in love with the Mandrus Mannheim wheels! And the price is great as well. I'll have to pay discounttires a visit!
