My 2004 NA had a fastener in it, I took it out when I removed the pan to get at the oil drain plug, I could not get the plug back in as I could not get the pan close enough to the bumper flange to engage the plug in both parts, so being an ingenious guy I left it out. 🙄
My SRT does not have one, maybe it did once though. The same problem arose when I tried to insert a fastener, the gap was too large.

Removing the stabilizer all together? That's a new approach! Never heard of that before. Seems like MB put it there for a reason. Anybody else done this?

As loose as my steering was with the old one, I can just imagine how awful it would be with NO stabilizer.
