Default Low brake pad light

Hello. Yesterday the dash light for low brake pads had come on, it stays on until I push the pedal. I checked the fluid level, and the pad thickness. The brake fluid is ful, and the pads are in good condition. Could the sensor be going bad, and how would I test

Your pads might be ready for replacement. There's a sensor inside one of the pads on each wheel. If the sensor which is a wire comes in contact with the rotor the sensing circuit (simple continuity) indicates it's time to replace your pads. This is just a warning and will not cause anything drastic to occur with your braking system.
