Exclamation Suspension

I own a 2005 Crossfire Coupe. After I purchased it, I discovered the right front spring was cracked almost all the way through (2015). The dealer could not find OEM so we installed Eibach 2552.140 Pro-Kit Performance Spring Kit. The ride is horrible. It is like having no suspension at all. Hitting a pothole will rattle your teeth. Does anyone have a recommendation for a more compliant (Touring?) suspension system?

You went to a DEALER? All things aside, that was your first problem. Anyway, it is hard to make a compact sports car into a touring car. IF you want to get the suspension back (or close to) specs, see some of the local or far away salvage yards to see if they have 'OEM' spring(s) in pristine condition. Good luck.

That exact kit is now back in it's box in my shop. First off you should know it will lower your car a Iittle over an inch, which will effect all the alignment adjustments. I went back to the OEM springs on my SRT6, not because it was too harsh, but because it was too soft with the Eibach kit installed. At speed on the freeway I did not like the way the car handled; All the other suspension parts were stock OEM and the car simple felt way to soft in hard turns. My wife could even feel the difference and did not like the way the car rode with that kit installed. I have installed a front H&R swan bar since then which has helped a lot to reduce sway when under a tight or fast turn. I will install a H&R sway bar in the rear of the SRT6 also to better improve the handling. The SRT6 I own rides much softer with the OEM suspension than the Limited I own and have installed complete suspension with H&R springs, shocks and sway bars. You are going against the design of the car looking for a softer ride. I will say the roads up north are really rough, especially on concrete, with there horrendous expansion joints leading onto and off of bridges. In some areas in the northern half of the country I probably wouldn't own a Crossfire because the roads are just too rough. Hope you find what you are looking for, but it will further degrade the cars performance.

Another way would be to involve a suspension or spring specialist, take your broken spring to them and tell them what you need or check out online catalogs.

4 Potential answers to the OP's question, with NO response!
It seems this is happening more often from seldom or new
