I am thinking about giving my Crossfire to my daughter in Cinn. She always telling me how much she likes it. It would be a nice surprise for her to see it sitting in her driveway one morning with a note saying its yours now so take good care of it.

That should get you a "Father of the Year" nod. I'll bet she would love that. I told my daughter that she will get my SRT6 when I'm gone. Every time I see her she asks me how I'm feeling.
Ordered the rear cargo cover from crossfire accessories and more. Next week, putting in a 10" Kicker subwoofer in the back. About 2 weeks ago did the coolant and brake fluid flushes. Pads are rotors look great so previous owner must have done them. At 66k and have put about 10k on the car in a year of ownership. Put 4 Cooper RS3-As on as well about a month ago. Live in Minnesota, but don't really drive it in the winter, take the train to work.
Put new rubber (Hankook V12 EVO2 145/35-18) on the front, the rears are coming tomorrow (275/30-19)
and will get them mounted. First new shoes since 2012, not too bad!
I have 275/35-18 on mine here is the difference stock 255/35-19= 10.0 wide ,,,3.5 sidewall--------------------------- 26.0 tall
mine 275/30-19= 10.8 wide,,,3.2 sidewall-------------------------,,, 25.5 tall
yours 275/35-19= 10.8 wide,,,3.8 sidewall (rubber rim to grown),,, 26.6 tall
and on the front
stock 225/40-18 8.9 wide,,,3.6 sidewall,,,25.1 tall
yours 145/35-18 this one is not in my book. but 245/35-18 is 9.6 wide ,,3.4 sidewall,,, 24.8 tall
just so you know what you are getting
oh the rear 275/35 gets 2.5% more mpg than stock. so the 275/30 would get 2.355 less gas mileage than stock. jim

So are you stating that changing the tire size actually improves or reduces MPG? Or are you just referencing that the resulting calculated MPG is better or worse but not really the actual MPG? Can't see how changing the tire size has a definitive impact on actual MPG. Curious?

Larger tire is heavier and adds rotational weight, like how lighter rims, rotors, driveshaft looses rotational weight can increase mpg and increase power to the wheels.

Yes,, and as speedy said weight has a factor in it also you want to see your mileage go way up ( 2 to 4 mpg) on the front put two MB spare tires 18" but tall and narrow and on the rear put narrow rims and a 275/50-16= 27" tall, 8.6 wide, on the rear,,, the taller the tire the better the mpg ,and the slower the rpm,, it is like changing you gear ratio just a very small amount. jim
Today I removed the paint off the exhaust outlets and polished up the stainless. Looks much better.
The paint on my tips is peeling off a little, do I repaint or strip. The NA was polished like these and I kept them polished, on this one they get black and you can hardly tell. Do I need more work?
What method did you use to strip them?

I understand that a weight reduction or increase will impact MPG. But if the only change is tire size, are you both telling me that due to electronics in the XFire, the speedo/odo in the Crossfire will automatically correct itself when either a smaller or taller tire diameter is installed? If it does, I'll buy the argument.
If it is the electronics in the XFire that enables this fact, that's an improvement from when changing tire size directly impacted Speed/Odo accuracy.
Today I replaced the trunk light bulbs, one of them had blown out, the light bulb casing had cracks so I ordered a set. 2 minute job. I had an annoying warning light on my dash, the "bulb" one and I think it was also causing my alarm to go off.

yes! with my 275/35 19 my speedo reads 80 I am really doing 77.5 by my Magellan gps this way you save more gas because you think you are doing 80.
The way I see it is the smaller the wheel the less distance covered per tire rotation. Hence if you want to actually achieve the actual speed you would end up having higher engine rpm's thus worse fuel millage. Specially if we are looking at highway driving where you only need to maintain speed and not stop and go etc.. Hence if your wheels are infinitely small you could be spinning your wheels but not going anywhere lol..
Many have installed smaller wheels with higher profile tires resulting in the same overall diameter.
The purpose for doing this is to improve the ride, the extra sidewall gives the tire more flex, thus a smoother ride.
Also, the tires are cheaper than the low profile 18 & 19 ones.
( However, they look like crap, at least to me )
