Default Wedge cupholder question

To those who use the wedgie cupholder. It's a great idea to place it in the little pouch between the seat backs and even looks pretty decent that way as well as being sturdy. However, it seems the cup pockets are too short and so I would be afraid to place a big cup in it as it would probably tip over. I also had water bottles that move back and forth and eventually tip over to the side. I mean, it's a nifty little cup holder but come on, is it so hard to make the pockets deeper so drinks can't fall out?
Is that just a bad model of said cupholder I purchased or is there a trick to make it work? (Such as an inlay to make bottles/can fit more snug).
I've seen several members use the same holder so I'm curious to see what you guys are doing cause the way it is set up I'm afraid things will get spilled in a tight turn or a sudden brake!

I did mount the cupholder between the 2 seats. I got 2 rubberized koozies and ripped the bottom out. I can put my water bottle in a koozie with about 3/4" of the bottle sticking out the bottom of the koozie and it wedges into the cupholder firmly. Haven't had an accident yet!

Thanks Sandy! That's a good tip. I was thinking something like that might work...I guess I'm gonna go and look in my koozie drawer!
