Installing SRT6 drive train etc into an NA
I've been communicating with member UrbanE from Canada who has decided (against my advice) to take on the project of transforming his 2005 Alabaster Crossfire roadster into an SRT6. He's already bought an SRT6 engine and transmission so I guess he is committed to the project.
I know there is at least one forum member (maybe more) who have done that same thing. I've tried searching the forum for posts to find those members who have "hands on" experience with this conversion project. Can anyone find the member(s) who have completed this same project so we can hook them up with UrbanE?

I'd think if you had the PTCM, BCM and TCM from the 6 you'd be almost there.
There 'might' possibly be differences in the wiring looms ( GULP ! )
If you change the BCM ( if it's indeed different ), I don't know how the spoiler will act.
At any rate Mr. Maier will know.

I am undertaking the conversion of the NA into an SRT6. Although I have heard from many to just purchase one, I'm GOING AHEAD WITH IT ANYWAY.
More fun for me (Frustration + hope=Satisfaction)
I have;
SRT engine block (Almost complete)
Transmission
Rear differential
Cold Air intake
Heat exchanger
Exhaust manifolds
I still require if different ;
Yoke
Drive Shaft
Pulleys
-Would prefer to acquire from Forum Members
TCM and ECM. I see a few on Ebay
Can anyone tell me, with the exception of the Pulleys, are the Powerstering Pump, Alternator and AC compressor are the same for both the NA and SRT.
For those that have completed the conversion, Can I leave;
-The existing Drive shaft and Yoke
-The NA Suspension, I hear that the SRT suspension setup is a really hard ride
-The Brakes or will I have to increase the size
-The existing spoiler setup as is.
Any insight that can be shared would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not calling his name,but someone I know had a good base model and purchased a complete wrecked SRT-6. The conversion was such a headache and costly that he tossed in the I surrender rag. Even something as simple as the wiring for the electric seats and radio was different than his base model. Needless to say,I got a great buy on his SRT-6 parts. Squirrel Crusher

Uh, Oh. I read that link, does this mean that our srt 6's are made in mexico? There was a dude at the bar that I might have pre-maturely contradicted when he said my car was made in mexico. I told him I would "kiss his _$$" if it was...uh oh! Tell me it isn't so.
.....On another note, more inline with this thread, I am not reading about suspension differences in the two types (Roadsters vs. SRT coupes). Since I refreshed all of my suspension parts in my SRT coupe, with exception of the springs, when compared to the limited roadster with only 40,000 mi on it, the roadster still drives like crap. The tires on the rear are new and the tires on the front are scalloped on the inside. The four wheel alignment was brought to spec less than 50 miles ago at the dealership. They were all way out on one side as if the previous owner had slid into a curb or something. Now, when she drives down the road she drives straight but if there is a crown to the road on a 4 lane, and I go to change lanes, I get a left-to-right floating sensation like both the *** end and the front end are swaying.
.....So, my question here is, Are the limited roadsters supposed to float like this or is this an inherent difference in the way that the SRT coupes handle as compared to the non-SRT roadsters? Thanks in advance...Peace
