replaced shocks with adjustable: now it handles to my liking.
removed the bulge and installed a soft cushion. it does just fine.
but the steering wheel i could do nothing.
at the end, i can live with it.

1 - Looks great, design has aged very well, smaller than I expected, built like a tank with solid construction & materials, offered in a manual tranny, easy access to mechanical spare parts, just a cool little car.
2 - The fit is tight, just big enough for 6'2" tall driver (assuming you have a limited with the seats adjusted all the way down and again the bulkhead)
The position of the cruise control switch is aggravating, often mistaken it for the turn signals but you get use to it. The "cup holder" is stupid and occasionally will pop up by accident with my arm resting over it, rear visibility is a nightmare, especially when backing out of an angled parking space on a busy street. which explains why the previous owner went to the expense of integrating back-up sensors on my car.
3 - Owned the car for week, but found the stock airbox filters weren't secured properly due to broken fasteners. Rigged up a repair for now, but ordered another airbox off of Ebay for a proper fix. TPMS light always on, not bothering to fix, have a better aftermarket TPMS system instead, also got the BAS/ESP light recently, turns on intermittently, hopefully just a stoplight switch. Other stuff just basic maintenance and consumables you expect to do on a used car, like oil changes, cabin air filter, tires, alignment, etc.
SD: now that you tell this, well, about the space for legs, right for europeans (that are shorter than northamericans). after all, it is a mercedes for europeans, right? but am 6ft so is tight for me too.
the cup, i covered it with a cushion for my right arm so no problem now.
the no view at the back, i installed a rear view camera
and to enter, i have a fabric covered cushion, and i slide sidewards first, then rotate. it makes this way easier. reverse to exit.
sad to learn that there is no place around where to drive it to its potential.
and of course those gimmicks that dont seem to be of use...

So Europeans are shorter than people from North America? What about the Dutch? They are very tall on average.
I doubt you are 6 feet tall, maybe once but as you age you shrink and people go on saying they are six feet tall.
Six feet tall was the ideal height, the bench mark of being a man. 🙄 No one called you Shorty.
I do not think that your statement is politically correct to people under six feet, especially women who are typically a few inches shorter than men anyway. I can see the PC police showing up at your door, and riots of ‘short’ people in Windsor. You could be in a mess of trouble.
It is not a Mercedes anyway.
Like: it’s German made; fun to drive; six speed manual, it’s unusual design
Don’t like: seats are hard; Need seat lower; seat heaters are bad design, many fail early on; plastic interior bits are fragile; chasing wind noise; not as high performance as one would think (stock NA engine); Jeremy Clarkson;
Fixed or improved: nothing other than normal maintenance and valve cover gaskets

I love the look of the Crossfire
I hate!!!!! The Skreem and transponder chip. I wish I could delete this forever. Since my Skreem just died and I need some help where I can get my car back on the road . I removed the skreem and PCM and the antenna ring. Which I have placed the last one I have so I can use any cut key. Now nothing starts the car. 3 times it started then died. I removed the battery and then reattached it only to go through same 3 failed starts. Typical Skreem failures !!!I live in Aberdeen Maryland zip 21001. My tags just came for renewals so gonna send tags back until I can get car fixed.
I hate the cheap plastics and sub par leather that's splitting at the seam on drivers side head rest.
I hate no tilt wheel and no audio buttons on steering wheel. And no Sun room.
I love the solid build .
I hate the over engineering of the electronics of this cool car. It's costing me a fortune on the repairs on a car that is not worth the money invested so far. 😵😵😜😜 can anyone help me find a reliable Skeem repair shop that is reasonable ??? I want a forever repair that lasts as long as the engine lasts. Thanks to all of you willing to help me fix this. Other wise it becomes a pretty parts car. I am looking into this. I been given 3 places who do this One in Boston Module Experts. Programma 561-338-8843 and one in Florida BBA remanufacturering. 866-573-2740 and what you and Phil Alvarez precisionecu . I will call each place I don't want the skreem anymore but want my keyless entry to work. And I want a new key fob.

I like it best because it’s a driver's machine, nimble and agile. No pushmobile this: It's a fully functional runner that could go fender to fender with a Boxster S or a Mustang. It was engineered using sophisticated production-design software that plots every millimeter of vehicle geometry in order to properly design and integrate itself into the highest torsional strength automobile built in its time. It hums as it grips the road. To accentuate the image of precise German Engineering, dropping the trunk in a crowded parking lot is a kick, seeing all the Kramer-esq startled looks.
second best reason for liking this car is I am driving a bargain. A $5,400 head turner with no problems going on 2.5 years - Thanks to the 3 previous “garaged winters” owners and this Forum.I have no real complaints about the quirky cup holder, the small entry space, or the plastic console, but I do wish the roof didn’t slope down right over the drivers head.........(unlike the Aston Martin which was designed right AND came with real chrome bumpers)
Wow. I fell in love with it at the 2003 Detroit Auto show and bought the roadster as soon as I found out it was available. A "second childhood" move for the 1974 TR6 that I should have kept (out of the snowy salt).
++ Looks - I still get nods and "nice car" at stop lights.
++ Wind - in my thinning hair with the roadster
++ Fast - the SRT6 is a sleeper and I have surprised Corvettes; turn off the ESP and spin those Hankooks
++ Sexy - sick as it sounds, it looks great from the rear with those fender swells
- Nothing - Other than living in MI and only driving it 7-8 months/year
- Maybe - getting tougher to climb in and out at 69
it should have had a V8 in so i made one with a V8 ,,ok 2 and now working on my third . i also have a 3.90 rear diff that bolts in if u are interested my next srt6+2 V8 will be FS it will have the 3.90 rear or 3.46 or 3.27 or stock 3.07 or one of each.
