Wheel Offset Compatibility
Re: Wheel Offset Compatibility
You could use wheel spacers to move the wheel out from the brake rotors but this might cause the tires to rub on the outside. Be very careful and measure correctly. Try the wheels on the car and check for the wheels rubbing before you mount the tires, front and rear, then mount the tires and check for outside rubbing on the tires. Turn the fronts to max in both directions and check also for up and down on the suspension in both directions. Better yet, stay with stock wheels. BIG RON

I was just wondering why some XF members here use wheel spacers 10mm front and 12mm rear in their stock rims. Is that the allowance we have in our wheel well in case be buy aftermarket wheels with >35mm offset?
