Going by that list will still involve some kind of modification of the sub cage. I don't think we've ever found a direct "plug & play" woofer simply because the magnet on the OEM subs are so narrow/round, unlike any other sub. You usually have to do some dremel work on the cage to make room for the larger magnets on all the aftermarkets. And I'm not sure if those stating no modification/direct fit are actual dual voice coil 4 ohm rated, that is if you're still running the OEM amp.
Geez....now I'm confused!

Used the Pyle 600W, 32oz. magnet... minor dremel modification to fit the larger magnet...direct fit...Maxcichon was my mentor...very inexpensive and a good solid bottom end sound... a separate sub amp would probably enhance the sound even more; I stayed with the OEM... probably will add one since I like my music on the loud side from having been a member of a heavy metal band in the late 80s early 90s...Carl
+1 to whatever stokes your fire.
I guess I'm weird : I hardly ever turn the thing on, and when I do it's for NPR or an audio book from librevox ......
I love my old Alpine mostly because of the old 60's style digital clock

ala-xfire : Don't label yourself as weird... your're a unique individual...with personal tastes, likes and dislikes...it has nothing to do with anyone else...it's who you are...wear it as a badge. The beauty of being your own person, regardless of what others think is that opposites can be friends...BTW, what is your first name...I'm a "name" person...Carl
Are you going to the April Dragon?
It's actually taking longer for the ears than the rest of the head these days...
Mine sounds pretty good. I have a small amp installed for the subs. I CAN over drive them.
And it sounds WAY better since I wired them in parallel (2 ohms) and in phase with each other. This allowed me to change phase and sync with the front speakers. Now, instead of a series of thuds, I get one harmonious thump!
