Default Rear Spoiler Stuck Up

Hello,
I hace a 2007 Chyrsler Crossfire Roadster that I had transported from Wisconsin to Florida and the Rea spoiler is stuck on a up position. Any advice on how to fix this would be appreciated. Would trying to put the top down correct the issue?
Thank you,
Dennis

Normally that is a sign of a weak or bad battery.

I would agree with that. What’s a good replacement battery as mine’s about to go.

Whatever you do, DON’T get a Blue battery.
Those will keep your spoiler up for a 4 hour stretch

Sorry, I just couldn’t help myself

A new one.

There is no reason (in my experience, anyway) to struggle with what battery to buy. I've been buying car batteries since 1977. Even with the Crossfire, I do it all the same:
Buy name brand from a store that will warranty it if it fails.
Buy one that meets the CCA specs of the car, as well as physical size and post placement.
Replace at 48 months.

I am not loyal to any one brand.

If the battery is dying, all that may do is cause the PTCM to lose syne with the top cylinders, then you get to come back in a panic and say, "My top is froze part way up, what do I do?"

Depending on the age of the battery (if its over 4 years) I'd just replace the damn thing, clean the battery cable terminals, and go from there.

ALSO, it is high time we all did either James' mod or my mod in this thread, the underbody chassis-to-block jumper was a bad idea in 2004 and it's a bad idea now.
