I can use my key to lock and unlock manually. The buttons on the fob appear to work after new batteries as the lights flash on the crossfire when I hit lock and unlock, but nothing. If I get in the car and hit the button on the center console there is nothing . I turn the car on still nothing give if a few revs and it magically works via the center console. or if I actually out driving . got to where the module is i don't feel damp foam but not sure.

I am going to check the siren as id don't any any chirps when the car flashes but don't know if it ever did only had this srt6 since Saturday. As I need to clear the drains under the cowl out as i got a little water in the front passenger foot well after hurricane debbie.

 

It is not unusual for the whale tail on the SRT to leak. No matter what clean the drains. The original alarm siren did not chirp which means yours may be 19 years old and leaking battery acid. Is it a coupe or roadster?

 

Coupe dont see any signs of leaking from the spoiler or the trunk lid. There was a little rust around the drain hole below styrofoam. But considering it started life up in Michigan and NY then Florida for the last 10 years not obvious sign. I have not had any other battery issues so far. I need to trace an electrical issue down when I get time to work on her. As there does not appear to be power going to Map lights / Homelink/TPMS system. Though it was clear by how the foam came out that someone had been in there before.

 

Fixed:

While not listed on the fuse sheet, I went to fix a different issue: no map lights in the interior, I pulled fuse #9, and it was burnt out. replaced it had map lights and then magically the door locks started working with the engine off.
