Just returned from my dealer. I asked them to order in Mobil 1 0-40 for an oil change. I was told Chrysler no longer deals with Mobil and uses Penzoil 5-40. The head parts guy told me this change occurred some time around the bankrupty and he did not know if it had to do with that or it just happened around the same time. I figure for the 2000 or so miles I put on the car before I put it away for the winter I can live with the 5-40 and do my semi annual winter storage change with Mobil 1 0-40. So much for dealing with Chrysler.

I wonder what the real deal is with this Mobil 1 0W-40 from Chrysler? Just purchased a 2010 dodge SRT8, Plum Crazy CHALLENGER, and on the oil fill cap they have the Mobil 1 0W-40 symbol and also states that is was filled from the FACTORY with mobil 1 and if I am correct the Challenger is made in CANADA, I think the dealers are telling us BS on the Mobil 1, and buying the cheaper oil to make a bigger profit on there oil changes. Fortunatley I stocked up on Mobil 1 when I was working at a dealership and have not had to buy any for awhile now. How can Chrysler say they discontinued this oil and still be using it from the factory ?
