Motor Trend Review
At motortrend.com there is a video review of the '07 Crossfire. The narrator hopes that Chrysler will drop the Crossfire and give us something "cool" instead. What's cooler than a Crossfire? The guy obviously has not driven one, and has no taste.
The review reflects the difference in the taste of people. On this forum I have experienced the wide gaps in dash preferences, the wide gaps in custom parts, styling and coupe to roadster preference. I like my red roadster with SRT wheels and Sherwood dash mod. I should worry about Motor Trend? Nope...

Top production the Crossfire is very cool. Especially now that they will stop.

Now that I think about all of the recent and current cars in our garage were panned and slammed by the car magazines, 2006 Crossfire (slow, dated chassis, sales failure), '96 Cherokee Classic (crude, old fashioned suspension technology, rough, noisy), '97 Mercury Cougar XR7 w/4.6 SOHC V8 ( overweight, underpowered, dated styling, retiree's ride) 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD turbo diesel (ill handling, cutesy styling, noisy uneven responding diesel). Guess what, I don't care what the "experts" say. In a lot of cases they are simply wrong or off base in their opinions. As the years pass and I see for myself how inaccurate or misguided the judgments of the various car reviewers have become I have become a complete contranista !
In other words, if the car "experts" really, really just hate something I get interested in checking it out to form my own opinion. I like going against the flow and fighting the ignorant crowd of hacks parroting each other's idiot pronouncements. Let the Lemmings run off the cliff en masse, I'm heading the opposite direction folks !

This is a general opinion and not based on the Motor Trend review. We all have different likes and dislikes. This reviewer was maybe expecting something from the Crossfire that he didn't get. Maybe he was comparing the Crossfire against something in his mind that he believed the Crossfire should be. We know that the chassis is old tech; MB changed to a new one as soon as the Crossfire was produced. I don't put a lot of stock what other people say about my car. It's what I like and why I like it!

The Crossfire has never been treated fairly by the car mags. They're a fickle bunch, and they're job is to hock the latest and most expensive 3 second 0-60 ride out there. Everything else is crap to them.
The car is beautiful, fast, fun, and well built. Screw em.

Ah yes, opinions are like A__holes, everybody's got one. I like many of us on this board like to be offset from the crowd, I'm sure the Honda Civic is a fine car, I just don't want to have the 30th one on my block! I had an Isuzu VehiCROSS the 2nd year they came out, I get less comments on the Crossfire than I did with the Isuzu.
It's easy to find faults or be unimpressed with the Crossfire, especially if you just got done driving an Enzo ?!?!

But he sure missed the mark badly with this...
