Thanks FP, I stuck em on my car for real (with tape) 2 years ago, but the photo I took didn't come out as good as your photo shop.
I'd really like some opinions, because I'm seriously thinking about putting them on.
One reason is they really help protect the rockers from stone chips.
But I think they go pretty well with the lines of the car, and give it an even more "retro" look.
If anybody's interested, they're $100 apiece, and made of extruded aluminum. They fit the curve of the Crossfire's rocker panel like they were made for it, they just need to be shortened a couple inches.

Yah Fritz, I know, but like I said, FP's photo shop photo of your car with them was a much brighter image.
Actually, the real moldings aren't quite as wide as they look in FP's photo shop version, but his rendition gives ya a better idea how they would look.
After staring at your car for the last 40 minutes, I've just about decided to put them on my car.

first wheels, then Eibach, Side exhaust, before you know it I'll be wanting a hood scoop Seriously I am convinced those wheels would look great on my all-black car, just can't quite pull the trigger yet

Okay, so am I the only one that wants the SLR pipe style on my crossfire? he he. I bet the sound would be obnoxious though. If I had to choose on all the other pipes, I like the ac cobra style pipes, but I think I'm just a cobra fan. lol

BCThomas, you're not alone. But I think more people would like the side pipes on a Crossfire if it had a V8. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with our V6's, but there really is nothing quite like the sound of a "healthy" V8 bellowing wide open thru a pair of "off road exhaust". Since you're a fan of the Cobra, you should know what I mean.
I agree with ya, the "Header" style side pipe does look great. But the biggest problem with them is that they protrude about 6" or more from the rocker panel. When looking at the car from a side view they look menacing. But approach the car from behind and your car will probably look like it has "running boards".
If anybody is seriously thinking about mounting side pipes on the Crossfire, I would highly recommend the "Trendsetter" style. They can be attached to the area "under" the current Crossfire rocker panel, and even after the decorative heat shield is attached, it wouldn't stick out that much.
I would advise adding some spacers to the rear wheels too, because even a "little" extra added track width will go along way to hiding the pipes from behind.

Been thinking about them for a while. I would put the chrome side pipes on my daughters SRT, but then she might burn those pretty legs. I keep thinking about how many times I fried the area above my ankles when I had my 72 yellow Vette with black side headers back in 73. I ended up putting on stock exhust. It didn't sound as mean, but saved money on burn cream. LOL.

RickZ, Punkin, are you paying attention?
FP you're the man, and your car looks great with the pipes too.
Hummmm.... the thought is darn near to much!

Hey, you gotta start somewhere... I'm was seriously thinking about shaving the door handles and installing door poppers.

FP, how about a photoshop of my car with the door handles shaved.

Also my hat's off to FP for his "photo shop" skills.

Thanks FP! Great job. You've got real skill with the Photoshop.

Guess I'm keeping the door handles as they are for now.

I will keep looking at this photo and try to get used to it though. I do kind of like it. Just not quite convinced yet.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. A much cleaner look.

Thanks again!!

I can agree that nothing sounds like a good set of laker pipes. Even with my small block cobra, the lakers sound awesome, even with cat's in place. I know what a pain the butt it is to keep them clean, and not drag them on everything. Burns are a concern and I have to be really careful who I let get into and out of the car, even had a friends kid try to use them as a running board and burnt himself. What kind of space is under our crossfires? I would be afraid of dragging pipes if we put side pipes on them, do we have enough room to put short side skirts and put the exhaust through them so they didn't just hang out?
