Real Stupid Question
Here it is:
What does everyone think of a PPP 426 7.0L putting down 465whp naturally aspirated (with room for a procharger) after 5 or 6 years, when the XF has done its duties?
Of course, traction will be more than an issue, but I was also wondering if its actually possible...

Anything is possible, all it takes is lots and lots of cash.
I even know of a place that will do it for you.

PPP = Power Ported Performance.
I was thinking in terms of an ECU, but i was thinking of a FAST pggyback and (obviously) some Autometer gauges.

With gasoline heading towards $5.00 a gallon, I've actually been thinking of finding a Crossfire that needs a motor, get a Honda S2K transmission, and an economical 4 cyl. out of wrecked Civic and putting it all together.
40 mpg, reg. gas, and I still have the Crossfire look, feel, and handling.

That kind of blasphamy should be a borderline bannable offense...............I'd be less offended if you said you wanted to put a Prius powerplant in the car.
Ohh and on topic the PPP 426 stroker is weak sause.....................I'm making about 20 less rwhp in my 6.1(stock bottom end) Charger with heads/cam/intake/exhaust/B&G S2 tune. 426=waste of lots of money

No room for the batteries.

so, its at least possible to do a motor swap in an XF, right?
Even with a stock SRT-8 motor you will kill.
What's the widest tire I can fit on the XF??

The second biggest limtation, is as +fireamx said: money. Money makes all car problems go away, it's just a matter of how much.
Check out the StarTech V8.
For the price that they charge it's gotta be all that will fit.

They've done your R&D for you, now just do it for less . . . way less.

If you want awesome power in a compact engine and have lots of money you should throw a SL55 s/c 5.5l V8 in the car and have 496hp to start with............before you change the pullies, ecu tune, etc.

And I'd take a Honda over a Toyota anyday.

I can't wait for the development of super-light batteries and super-conductors.

And then people like badseed can try to put a blown V/8 in one. LOL
Keep thinking big kid. These guys are always interested in that stuff.
Just trying to steer the thread back where it started.

Back on track....The shop that did my hood, "Customs Unlimited" is chomping at the bit to put a new Hemi into a Crossfire.
If they feel a new Hemi will fit, I don't see why a 5.0 Ford, Chevy small block, or a Mopar 360 crate motor wouldn't fit too.
With the prices of used Crossfire sinking faster than a Florida sink hole, our cars could well become the "Deuce Coupe" for the new Millennium, lending itself to all sorts of modifications because of its low entry fee.
After all, let's face it, there were only about 3000 or so SRT6s built, and there really isn't that many high performance parts out there for the NA Crossfires to choose from, so what other choices does one have if they want a 12 sec. Crossfire?
So who's going to be first to put an "American" V8 in a Crossfire?
