540,000 miles/same car
After I bought my Crossfire coupe, I knew that I would keep it for a very long time. I came across this video and immediately thought of the Crossfire. Hopefully I will still be able to drive the Crossfire if I get to be 89 years old (only 66 years to go
)
This is a video about an 89 year old woman and her car. She even drives herself alone to her 70th class reunion, 3,000 miles from home! She also knows how to protect herself on her long journeys. She has driven her car 540,000+ miles.
ENJOY THIS 3 min 30 second video.

Now that's a great story !!
What a wonderful woman to still drive and detail her own car.
She is just like the rest of us basically.
She has a passion for her car.
Thanks for posting this....I just sent the link to my mom.

I hope I am that sharp when I that old. The three points that I found hilarious are:
1- She carries a gun... scary but awesome.
2- She thinks elderly people shouldn't be driving. Clearly she is alert and is able to drive, but I know several of my grandparents and parents friends that should not be allowed to drive. Perfect example, one of my grandparents friends asked me to look for them before they pulled out. exact quote, "I can't turn my head anymore", my response was then you should be on the bus, take a cab, and not behind the wheel.
and
3- gotta to love those lifetime warranties.
Regards,
Steve

Nice to see that some one has taken the time to show that the domestic manufactures makers do make cars that last 500,000 miles.
I have a 1977 Ford E150 that has never had any work done on the engine other than replacing the fuel pump.
Several people have told me all domestics are junk and none last more than a 100,000 miles

They don't make cars like that any more. And one finds few women like her anymore either.
Great find. Thanks for posting.

I always love the tenacious and spunky seniors! They are a gem for us all. Too bad that our culture does not value the elderly as much as we should. THis lady sure makes us realize that your never too old for anything!
It's nice to see someone taking care of their car and running up the mileage. I'm not looking for a half million, but I would not mind having my Crossfires in 30 years when I hit her age. Now I do intend to drive my A6 well over it's current 140k and baby it just as I do the Crossfires, except the Audi gets to go play in the snow all winter.
