Shop Manual For Oil Change?
I’ll add a word here, I put one of the steering dampers on a couple of months after the oil change and having used a jack and jack-stand to change the oil, I decided that an investment in a pair of ramps might be a good idea. I bought some from Advanced Auto, 8,000 lb load rating, best 34 dollars I’ve spent in a while.
The next oil change should be a breeze using these ramps. They are of the non-metal type and have a long entry ramp to the platform, no body scraping and they store easily when not in use.

While I am using Mobil 1, I did come accross a better oil while at a desert off road race with my uncle who is a crew chief and he also helped me with my V8 conversion. There is a synthetic by JGD (Joe Gibbs Driven) that states that it is for off road use only. This is becuase it contains the really good stuff that the EPA doesn't allow.

It has been years since I changed my own oil. Just tired of having someone in the back work on my car and I have no idea if it is being done properly. Or I could go to a jiffy lube and still can't watch these kids properly. I watch them do oil changes and they are too fast and careless. The only person that will do it correctly is me

BTW the order in which you take the O rings off doesn't matter. It's just my OCD kicking in that I do it a certain way everytime. I just know 2 of them are about the same size and I don't want to get them confused. Oh and yes, you will have a left over O ring (pending on where you get your filter)
Edit: Of course I just responded to a thread from August...
