Thus allowing your coffee to spill all over the radio.

cool.

Diamler/Mercedes has never accepted that one might want a coffee involved in the driving experience. Quit trying.

Accept the fact that we do not actually have a cupholder. Instead we have a useless annoyance in our cockpits.

Besides, real cars have a clutch thus requiring the frequent use of the right hand for employment other than preventing the spillage of your drink.

roadster with a stick

The way it should be!

Nice work Beaner. At least you cup holder doesn't look like it would poke holes in a styrofoam cup! On the SLK it looks like it is part of the upper dash and pops out above the vents? You interior looks great! It would also look good with a black steering wheel. I couldn't find a black Crossfire wheel and when with a SLK wheel

Franc, always looking at the bad... tisk tisk

I accepted the fact my car has a great cupholder, I dont drink much coffee with out a lid on so I am not worried about spilling. Plus, with the auto there nothing but smoothness when shifting gears. Sounds like you are rough with your stick! poor car. haha

Coupe with an auto (and a shift boot so I can be more like you Franc)

The way I want it to be!

Edit: Lantana, now you got me searching for a steering wheel. Very nice. Much better than the chrome wings.

Cup holder. That thing is a cup holder. Tried to use it for the first time yesterday and decided my crotch would work better and then couldn't get it to close. I understand the Germans don't use cup holders. Maybe they take driving more seriously than many of us Yanks do.

Beaner-

How did you do the install or get the part for the upper dash holder? I knew the SLKs had that style and always wondered why we got a single, crappy holder versus the double holder now matter how "ingenious" it is...

Thanks!

I just noticed this . Beaner a fine job of install. Looks great. My complimets.

But I cannot help myself here. I have the same kind of CupHolder on my 1995 Dodge one ton. Located right over the radio.!?! Good luck with that.

In my case the radio succumbed to pop and coffee spills within 30K miles.

But then I drive like an idiot.

You don't really want to be like me do you?

Well if you are foolish enough to have an open container with no sealable lid above the electronics... you deserve the outcome.

I have had no spills or accidents with the location of my cupholder, It's great!

Too busy driving to worry about a cupholder. If I want a coffee I stop and have one. No food or drink in my Crossfire!!
