Another Cup holder problem
Got the console loose but can't get it off. Got a yellow hose like tube i can't get disconnected.
What's the trick?
Search is your friend. cup holder removal - 3 pages. Cup holder yellow - 6 hits for yellow.
Bet I am missing something other than today's ride.
Update- found out its the air hose for the compartment lock. I can't see it to figure out how to disconnect. Still searching know that I now what I am looking for it might give better results.

Once I was able to get the console high enough to get my nose under it I was able to see the air switch. Put a flat blade in the side of the receiver and pulled the hose out.
Those German engineers must have had too much time on their hands to design that cup holder.
Interesting that the cup holder worked in Florida when I picked up the car, got intermittent on the way back to NC and did not work at all here. Little latch in rear of the cup holder was binding.
As usual a four hour job that I can to in a third next time.

you could remove the spring and it wont pop open anymore.

anyone with the storage bin, have the measurements for it? I'm gonna try vacuum molding.

Its been a while now, I installed a storage bin for a memeber in the hotel lot during Woodward. I remember seeing the air line, but think I could work around it without disconnecting it.

PizzaGuy ~ Noticed the bra on your Xfire.
Is this something that Chysler sells, or was it aftermarket.
If you can point me to your source and a price range, it's appreciated.
The lovebug season is coming to Florida, and they are a trip to get off...lol...
I'm figuring the bra might help a little...
Thanx...
