Well Guys, I took delivery of my new Durango R/T this evening. She is tucked away in the garage with 13 miles on her. Since it was after dark by the time I left the stealership, I will give her a thorough going over in the morning and post up a pic or two. Quite a change, but the 2 mile ride home let me know that it is something I will get used to real quick.

As hard as it was to let go of the xfire, two more came in right behind me and traded as well (or I assumed they were there to trade)....never seen them before, nor did I get a chance to talk to the owners. One was an aero blue roadster and the other a graphite coupe. Haven't seen that many in town since I bought mine 6 1/2 years ago........go figure.

Enjoy your retirement journey Dan. I enjoyed our times together at TMS and Carlisle. If you are ever in Big D please let me know so we can get together.

Con grats Dan. I am sure you will miss the Xfire but I know you will enjoy the Durango just as much but in a different way. Just treat them like two different Girls and it will be fun, Take care. Lorne&Elaine

We could trade rides if you want to drive a real XF, now that your vehicle has some power! I know we'll be seeing you around still.

you might be surprised having that big thing up your tail (of the Dragon) of course...lol.... Almost a hemi SRT8 GC Jeep there Dan. I like it...might have to look at one of those instead of a jeep next time... Of course, I have ideas of taking my old Tahoe, and modding it...might be more fun....plenty of mods for it still out there. I like it, buddy, enjoy your travels...if you get up into my neighborhood, you have a room...

Well a couple years later Dan realized this Durango seen below was not what he really wanted after all......so.........scroll down

IMG_0745.jpg

So he traded it in for his own built to order brand new Jeep Rubicon seen below.
He just took delivery of this Jeep yesterday....

That's a nice one Dan, ready for some off road adventures. You should get in touch with Howard Carter as he is in to Jeeps now.

Is it just the Canadian climate or something else, but these things turn into buckets of rust in a few years.
I like them but they always seem to have rust and it appears around the hinges first.
