Chris, the best case you have is to tell the truth. You thought you had slowed enough to be cautious, and you could not get over safely due to traffic. Further, you had the officer in your sight the whole time. Becomes her word against yours, unless that elusive radar/video was on at the time....good luck...
Well, here's my take on it. Busy interstate, heavy traffic, I would guess the speed limit is 65? She's on the side of the road, with a traffic stop, you go by, she is in her car? I am assuming some things here, but I don't think this warranted a citation...maybe if it is "beef" with her, an *** chewing would be in order. When I was still on the road, and found myself in these situations, I tried to be on the far side of the car, away from traffic, if I am getting back into my car, and some nut case comes by me, not slowing down, not trying to move over, I would go after them...that was a rare case... She was looking for something, and I can't say what. Unless she was out of the vehicle along the roadside, I can't see why she would site you...now if you were speeding, I could see that....I would fight this one...but that video won't help you. PM me as I have a suggestion...
The speed limit there is 70, from a speed of 68 at the top of the peak to her location I had reduced my speed to 60. The amazing thing is the acceleration she had to have experienced to catch up to my bumper from a dead stop in 0.2 mile.

A bit late to this party but thought I would throw my 2 cents in. Confession...I'm a hypocrite. I preach and preach about how public roads are not the place for high speed driving but I'm a frequent abuser of my own admonishment.
I commute 35 miles each way into Tampa FL down a toll parkway where 85mph is the normal 'flow of traffic' by every soccer mom in a mini-van/crossover on the road and I am NOT exaggerating. On a daily basis I witness guys in their large SUV's passing the soccer moms by exceeding 90mph. The parkway lends itself to this style of driving (speed limit is 70mph). Its wide, flat, mostly straight with minimal traffic. Popping over 100 on the way home is nothing. I do it all the time, especially on Fridays when I take my GSX-R to work.
The stigma of exceeding '100mph' is a throw back to when doing 100mpg in a 5000lb Detroit made beast hinged on suicide (I once did 140mph in my 440cid '69 Charger that scared me so bad I swore I'd never do it again!). The Crossfire is a car that was designed to exceed 100mph in a safe and stable manner. Same with my GSX-R.
I would like to see Autobahn style highways in the US and think many people would partake in extra education and training ala Europe (and it irks me to say that). Heck, I'd even pay extra to run in a high speed lane. There is truth to the money aspect of exceeding 100. In VA, if you are caught exceeding 100mph you are pulled over like a bank robber, with GUNS DRAWN, face to the ground, knee to the back, straight to jail. If I had been caught doing 99mph it would have been a ticket and "have a safe day sir".
My point being, the speed isn't necessarily the problem, its the overall environment. I was on a congested highway a few months ago, bumper to bumper going about 75 and two sport hatchbacks were racing through traffic in a reckless, very dangerous manner at about 90mph. It made me sick to witness what they were doing. It was 100x more dangerous than me driving vehicles that are made to go that fast in a prudent manner i.e. evaluating my surroundings and making a judgement call.

Hope the tires was z rated. By the way, if you were speeding and did not see the trooper, you were driving recessley. Always scout the area, know where they hide, and use a radar detector. My car is faster than the airplane I fly. LOL
So I stopped by the DMV yesterday to pick up a current copy of the Ks Driver's Handbook (evidence for trial) ....I was driving The Bright Silver 08....as I left there was a Driving Instructor walking out to give a driving test to a new driver....she says, " I Love your Porsche.....My father had a brown one just like it!".

(Just thought I would throw that in there to soften what the others are going to post about you driving 105 MPH on the streets....

If you are just speeding at 120 and pull over when I catch up, and I will catch up....then, why would I need back up? The back up is a result of radioing ahead that I am trying to catch up, so another unit just might be closer to you so I don't have to endanger anyone else trying to catch you...but as the guys who run with me know, I will catch up. Of course, not anymore, as I have come off the road. My municipality, and the sheriff have always provided this old traffic cop with some nice rides, as traffic was my assignment. Speed limiters were the 1st things to go. Don't knock those crown vics, without the limiter, they will run...I wish I had stuck around long enough to get a new charger...I like them, but I was around long enough for the Camaro's in '91/'92. Bottom line, you play at that speed for too long, your chances of getting caught just increases. Shorts bursts are all you will get by with on most highways...cell phones have ruined the long haul high speed days...be safe...
