Angry radiator fan keeps failing

im not sure if its the after market fans or what but i have change this fan 3 times and each has only lasted no longer than 1 months time. Eventually the fan cracks and begins to whooble causing the entire car to vibrate. Im nervous of buying the original manufactured fan which is around $350.00 and it does the same thing. Does anyone has any clue to the reasons of my fans constantly cracking also once i do install these fans they al very high sounding like a industrial fan. please help i am so tired of replacing this fan.

In 5 years of ownership. I have heard my fan exactly 3 times. Are you sure the fan speed controller is working? Who has diagnosed this?

I have yet to have it diagnosed i figure since it goes on and off when needed that there was nothing wrong with the fan module, and going tho Chrysler dealership is out of the question there diagnostic is extremely to expensive.

Yeah-the fan controller is a true speed controller. If yours is an "OFF/ON" unit I think you've got problems.

I don't know what else to tell you. The fan controller is more expensive than the fan.

To my mind they are the same thing, mounted on the driver side inner fender.

Curious did you go back with OEM parts?

I have not had the pleasure of messing with the fan system on the Crossfire yet. Is the fan blade separate from the fan motor? Or must they be serviced as one? Could your fan blade be out of balance causing the bushing/bearings in the motor to go bad prematurely?

Just something to think about. James

Talking Re: radiator fan keeps failing

Fan runs on 4 volts and can speed up to about 8-9 volts. 12 volts are dangerous and causes overspeeding of this motor. Never try connecting it direct to battery, OOF that would be bad to do. WOODY

Just so you know, the low coolant light will also come on if the ECU senses a problem with the Fan Control Module OR if it looses communication with the fan control module.

reply to james: The fan assembly is one complete assembly, though i have seen the oem fan blade by itself for sell on ebay. I order my fan assembly from amazon and fan module controller from eBay: The Crossfire Shop. I decided to change the entire fan assembly instead of just ordering and then having to return to change other parts.
