plastic jacking point block
I got the oil changed last night on my new (to me) Crossfire, thanks for the help to those that replied to my other post.
I jacked it up per the manual by using a floor jack under the jacking point behind the drivers side front wheel. That point is a plastic block on the rocker and was barely attached. The little fingers on it that retain it into the hole in the rocker were worn (& one missing). I want to try to get one, or at least try to order one, later today.
I tried to find the part in the 2004 parts manual here (thanks guys for that also!), but I failed. Can someone tell me where that sucker is in the parts manual? Is it something common to a Mercedes also?

The Mercedes jack pad will not fit the Crossfire without modification. Two corners will need to be notched.
The Chrysler part number is 5099715AA. Last year when I tried to order one from OE Discount Parts they cancelled the order saying the part was not available.

Thanks for the help, 2 questions.
1) The link did not work.
2) The bottm of my car (see with the pad off) has both a hole for the protruding center part of the pad to go into (the part with the 4 fingers) and there is an inch long 1/4" dia barbed rod sticking out of the rocker panel, it goes into a small hole in the pad itself.
The picture of the pad on ebay is missing the small hole for that rod attached to the car. If I ger the M-B pad, along with trimming ears to make it fit do I also drill a hole in it for the barbed rod?

My OEM jacking point pads are also a little buggered up (by the previous owner). What I do is use a 3/4" rubber pad (small piece of horsestall mat) to sit on top of my floor jack. It conforms to plastic pad, protects, and prevents slip outs. I don't sweat the OEM pads being less than perfect because you can't see them without getting upside down, and also they were meant to, well, jack up the car with. I cut a smaller piece for the jacking points, and a larger one to cradle the rear diff. pumpkin. This material holds up to my 4 ton truck; tough stuff.
