My poor crossfire... =(
Okay guys I've narrowed the replacement down to 2... Well possibly 2.5 so I figured I'd turn here for some of ya'lls advice...
1) 05 Roadster in South Bend IN... Talked to shop on a few occasions now and have pictures of imperfections with the body. There is like 3 scratches total and he says it runs fine. I am pondering an independent inspection on this one. Oh it has 42k on the clock.
2) 05 SRT with 52 k on the clock. Few surfaces scratches but nuttin major. Car is currently north of NyC buy was there there for sandy... Was it Florida still. Issues with it haven been a faulty master Cylinder (repaired by dealer) and it has the h20 in the trunk from the wings seal. He did not catch it in time and electronics went haywire. All issues were repaired/replaced by dealer. My stomach just worries about potential rust and after the dealer fixes the issue is it truly 'fixed'?
.5) 05 coupe... Nothing really special to mention except it has 32k and is a single owner.
All cars have new tires >1000 miles old
I know ultimately it is up to me but any advice or thought are greatly appreciated
Marc

There was a member on here that was looking at an SRT-6 in PA and when we gave him a list of questions to ask the seller (dealer, I think), he was told the car was sold and it seemed like the dealer did not want to get into the details on the car. That car had a VIN of 1C3AN79N55X038744 - maybe they sold it to the dealer in NYC that you are dealing with

Give us some details and we will help all we can

The SRT is a private owner and was previously a Florida car. I have run the carfax and it came back good as gold with this one. The issues he said he has had with this one are they spoiler leak and the master cylinder. He said he would take $12,250 cash for the car if I can get it with in the next week or so. 2005 Crossfire SRT-6 330HP!!!
The roadster is in South Bend IN at a Pawn shop (worried me at first until I had read their title laws). I just got the VIN yesterday and have not yet run the carfax but I have spoken with the guy on 3 or 4 occasions and he has send me pictures of the imperfections in the paint (about 2" scratch on threshold above windshield and about a 1/4" above spoiler ... I would be looking at $11,500 for this one. CROSSFIRE ROADSTER.

OK - so the SRT was NOT in NYC when Sandy hit, correct? If that is the case, then out of the 2 cars you posted here (and both have no ~hidden~ issues), I would go for the SRT. That is only because I am more of a fan of already added HP than I am of a drop top. I love the look of the Xfire with the top down, but have never been crazy about a vert with the top up. And for $1K dollars, the extra HP is what I would lean towards. Of course, it is about what YOU like, not me (or anyone else)
You've owned a Xfire before, so I am sure you are familiar with it's quirks, so it is a matter of whether you want LOOKS & HP 24/7 (I am biased here) of if you want STUNNING LOOKS on nice warm days only?
Since you know a lot about the car itself already, is there something specific you are wanting to know about either one of these, or about a certain model?
Also, if the Vert has been a Florida car, has the owner had the back window replaced under warranty yet?

No it was not in NYC when Sandy hit my bad I fat fingered that one! The car was still in Florida at the time. I guess the only real question I had pertaining to this one was with the water leak. If it was taken care of by the dealer should I be nervous about it? I would really love to get into an SRT because of the HP increase just want to make sure it not going to be a leak that keeps on giving
The roadster is not a Florida car to my knowledge and am not too sure what state it was one that falls under that notice about the tops. The main plus in this one for me is that it has 10k less on the clock....
With both cars being as far as they are I am essentially doing this blind so I have to use technology and the great people here for advise!

My bad on the roadster - had FL on my mind. If you are worried about the leak on the SRT, it will keep on giving until it's repaired. Not a hard fix as a DIY if you are that kind of person. I did mine about a month ago and not one drip since.

Okay George, you started it :
VH=ah might as well jump (jump!), might as well jump, go ahead and jump (jump!), go ahead and jump.
SRT6 but I am a little prejudice. Water damage was repaired. Spoiler leaks when the seals go bad. Common problem. But I am sure by now you have bought something.
