Not to slam the US Postal Service and all the problems they're having, but I just received my (new to me) copy of the February 2001 edition which features the Crossfire concept on the cover.

Hindin - Since the mail up there is delivered by dogsled, isn't 12 year delivery the norm? Ha!
Could you please do a clearer scan of the article? I saw Eric Stoddard's name mentioned in the text.
Thanks!
Are you in Anchorage?

Scratch the scan request - found the article online:

You're right about those dogsleds, I was going to give USPS another year before I was going to request tracking information. I live about 50 miles north of Anchorage, we even have scanners this far north.
I believe the article you referenced is the same but this has different pics.

Let me just say, as a letter carrier for the USPS, I apologize for the delay in getting your magazine to you in a timely manner. I'm serious about this. We work very hard to give good service to our customers. But, unfortunately, sometimes things slip through the cracks. We've been around since the beginning of this great country - through thick and thin - and I think we've done a pretty good job most of the time. Please forgive us - we'll try and do better.
No need to apologize Winstonscfi. USPS does a great job in Alaska and we appreciate your service. I suspect the delay in delivery was due to the private carrier contracts USPS has with less then scrupulous dog mushers.
